Fra 1648 skilte veiene for de sørlige og nordlige Nederlandene, som omtrent svarer til de senere statene Belgia og Nederland (populært kalt Nederland). Med fredsslutningen i 1648 etter Trediveårskrigen oppnådde de protestantiske provinsene i nord uavhengighet. De sørlige Nederlandene var sterkt herjet under frihetskrigen, og protestantene, særlig borgere i byene, flyktet nå til de nordlige provinsene. Da det habsburgske riket ble delt i 1713, overgikk de sørlige Nederlandene til østerriksk overherredømme. Under Napoleon ble både de nordlige og sørlige Nederlandene innlemmet i Frankrike i en snes år. Etter Napoleons nederlag i 1815 ble området igjen forent med Nederland inntil den belgiske revolusjonen i 1830, som ble starten på den belgiske staten. Stormaktene, som kunne ha gagn av en buffersone og et svekket Nederland, anerkjente uavhengigheten. I 1800-tallet hadde Belgia en sterk økonomisk vekst, ikke minst på grunn av koloniene. Den belgiske kongen fikk tilkjent Kongo som sin personlige eiendom.

Belgia var nøytralt, men ble invadert båter under 1. verdenskrig og 2. verdenskrig. Etter 2. verdenskrig ble Belgia ett av de grunnleggende medlemmene av NATO og Kull og stålunionen, sen EU. Begge organisasjoner har sine hovedkvarter i Brussel. I 1970 ble Belgia grunnleggende delt opp i tre regioner etter språkgrensen, og i 1993 ble landet til en føderasjon.
Parlamentet er et tokammerparlament og består av Dronningen, senatet (overhuset) bestående av 76 senatorer og representanthuset (underhuset) bestående av 150 medlemmer, som alle velges i enmannskretser rundt om i landet. Representasjonen i representantshuset avspeiler direkte befolkningen (hvert medlem representerer en viss befolkningsmengde, som har valgt medlemmet), mens senatorene representerer de forskjellige statene (12 per stat, mens de føderale distriktene, Northern Territory og Australian Capital Territory begge har 2 senatorer). Begge kamre velges ved valg hvert tredje år; men ettersom senatets medlemmer sitter i 6 år, velges halvdelen av dets medlemmer ved hvert valg. Partiet med flertall i representanthuset danner regjering.
Selv om Australia for det meste består av savanne eller ørken funnet det også en stor diversitet i naturen, alt fra alpine sletter til tropiske regnskoger. På grunn av kontinentets høye alder og dets lave fertilitetnivå, dets meget varierende værmønster, og dets lange geografiske isolasjon er meget av Australias flora og fauna unik og forskjelligartet.
Det finnes tre større politiske parti: Australian Labor Party, Liberal Party grynt Australia og National Party grynt Australia. Did Coker Deserve Getting The Hook?

Larry Coker, who was of last week; the coach for the University of Miami Hurricanes and was there from 2001 – 2006, put up a good record despite All of the things that had happen during the course of the season.

Some would say 6-5 is not that bad of a record, giving what the hurricanes had gone threw. And rightfully so they are right, but it’s the University of Miami and even with all the problems that is unacceptable with the school.

But in my mind the problems started, way back during that embarrassing lost against the tigers of LSU (Louisiana State University).in the peach bowl 40 to 3 because after that game, Larry Coker made assistance coaching changes mainly because if he had not he would have been fired.

So Coker knew coming into this season, that it was a make or break year for his tenure as their football coach at Miami. And as it turn out the season was one of the worst in the past decade in the school football program history.

Did he know there where going to be a brawl with FIU (Florida International University) no, but has a coach you have to have control of your football team.

Even if FIU started it from the get go and as a result he got fired, for not only for the brawl but because he lost total control of his football team during the course of the season.

This is Just In: NHL Playoff Hockey is far better then the NBA Playoffs.
Everyone up to our north in Canada knows it and now I will tell you why playoff hockey is far better then the National Basketball Association (NBA) equivalent of postseason play, their are three reasons in my view; the first reason is the flow of the game, second is the prestige of the Stanley Cup and the third is the apparition for athletic talent.
The flow of a National Hockey league (NHL) playoff game and the athletic ability of the players are two of the best reasons out of the three in my view; the flow of the game is so intense, that when your team shoots and makes a goal you feel like you will be having a heart attack in a mater of moments and when the other team shoots and gets the goal, you feel like you have just been hit by a semi truck.
The athletic ability, of the players in the NHL are amazing, whether it be in a playoff game or not the players athletic ability and toughness and their desire are really true sights of athletic ability, imagine being slam into the boards and with in the matter of seconds you get up and go towards the player who has the puck and then play defense, remember you are doing all of this on ice skates.
The prestige of the Stanley Cup is well known around the sporting world but it has even a meaning in Canada then in other country in the world, as in today NHL game it is extremely rare that a team from Canada wins lord Stanley, but that could end this year as Canada has only one team left in this year quest for the cup, but unlike the last two years when a Canadian team has lost a Stanley cup finals series (Calgary to Tampa in 04 and Edmonton To Carolina 06) this year team the Ottawa Senators could actually win it but they first have to take care of the Buffalo Sabers in the eastern conference finals.
But the most important thing is how much an entrainment value do you get from it, to be able to sit down and actually watch these two professional leagues playoff games on television, but for me, i get more entertainment value and fun by watching the NHL playoffs and so does the country of Canada.

Add broth, wine and lemon juice. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Place chicken back in skillet. Add sour cream and Dijon mustard and stir well. Allow to simmer about 7 more minutes, until heated through and chicken is no longer pink in the center. Sprinkle with dill. Serve.

Non Peforming Products - Linksys Wireless-G Range Expander

Companies need to make a choice. Sell stuff that Works Simply or Sell Stuff that Simply Works. It’s a binary thing. Shouldn’t be a real hard concept to understand.

HOUSE FOR SALE - WEST PHOENIX AREA
We’re a little bit city and a whole lotta country and we are selling our little corner of the world for under $200,000, which is practically unheard of in this area for horse property. After getting it home, and with trembling anticipation, (trust me, geek toys do this to you) it didn’t work!

One of my husband’s favorite restaurants is Carabba’s. They serve nice warm sourdough bread with this amazing bread dip that keeps you coming back for more. The last time we had spaghetti I tried to duplicate this dip. The attempt was a success and now I make it as often as we have something to dip. Last night I made it to go with Stromboli and it was excellent. For the Strombolli I just used me pizza dough recipe, made two 8 x 12 rectangles, topped it lightly with sauce and toppings, rolled it up, pinched shut and baked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
